I hate Technology, i would love to just move to a small seaside town and be a plumber. once again, for absolutely no reason at all my computer is giving me the middle finger. It doesn't want to boot up anymore, which is the equivalent of me not being able to put my socks on. it could be the hard drive again but I'm not sure. I'm going home tomorrow but this is a massive set back, not sure whats going on yet. i was going to start recording the music, rigging both characters and getting most of my environment finished over my 3 weeks at home but i need my PC for that, which i dont have. if it is my hard drive which is dead then Ive lost all of my environment work, models, textures the lot. also my cat character will be gone, thankfully Ive got my guitarist character backed up so it wouldn't be a complete waste of 5 or so weeks. everything was going brilliantly, i couldn't be more angry, i would love to beat the funk out of my walls but I'm somehow holding it together. Ill keep you posted but its not looking great..WHY THE FINAL PROJECT NOOO!!!!

Mate, you're a much more reserved man than I could ever be. If this shit happened to me, I would be swinging my mouse around my head, letting it fly into the wall, smashing the keyboard and throwing the unit down the stairs. My monitor would be safe.
ReplyDeleteDave - take your laptop into the tech boys at UCA and let them take a look... and take a deep breath; don't do anything drastic. Fingers crossed it's nothing terminal. I'm in tomorrow myself - teaching from 11am; if you want to chat, aim for 10am.
ReplyDeletemust be a computer virus going around, one my computers has gone to the computer vet and killed one of the tech guys' hard drives. oooops! hope im not gonna ge billed for that! deep breaths dave, stay positive you'll do it, u just have to be focused on getting it done! good luck mate.
